THE ADVENTURES OF THE DEVILS BRIGADE
As most of you have noticed we are starting to video all club activities. This will lead to a cool little video for us to air on utube if nothing else but the real goal is to pitch a reality television program. I want everyone to be aware of this before we submit our concept so you can let me know if you don’t want yourself to appear in the snippet video we send to them. If you would like to be a central character of the show let me know that as well.
The concept I will be proposing is for a film crew to follow us through a sequence of events resulting in a goal at the end of the season. The week by week goals such as bus repair/repaint will make for a good storyline I feel because of the conflicts that arrise in trying to organize people to work together to make set deadlines. The story will sidetrack often to look in on tournaments and the drama and good times that go with them. The main characters of the storyline will also be depicted in normal non-horseshoe daily situations, such as work and home life, in order to show the conflict between life and horseshoe obligations. In the end of the first season we will take a bus trip to a yet to be determined location either to host a tournament or just compete. It is a long, long, long shot but I know we have had more than enough material for show I would love to watch over the years. Let me know what your take is on this. I need to know if you are on the same page or if I’m way out in left field before I go ahead with it. The deadline for submittal is July 21st so tell me now.
