We had a great Redneck Olympix this year! The weather was perfect, the crowd was well behaved and the band was great. Here are a few highlight pics for your viewing entertainment.

The same cast of characters expected were in attendance along with some new faces. Everybody had a great time and we hope to make it bigger and better next year.

The chili was a hit. We had real good participation and Southern Sweet won with one chip over the competition. Boop and Raider tied for second.

Horseshoes was competitive as usual with the blind draw ending in a COMA/Brigade team victory.

The winners of the blind draw were Principal and the Reverend, in second was Sickboy and Kingpin and in third was Tenderfoot and Earthmover. In the bring your own partner tournament Trueshoe and Pony Boy took first. Lobo and Grenade took second and Voodoo and I got third.

The Redneck Horseshoes was one of the most popular events again. Ponyboy showed us that he can throw anything at a stake/plunger and at least get the
closest.

The egg toss went out to new distances this year. In the end those natural athletes prevailed. Ponyboy and Trueshoe gave us lessons all day long. They are good.

The Speedloadin has become more popular in it’s second year. You could tell the boys have really been practicing. It was a battle but in the end Tenderfoot emerged victorious

If you are gonna get hurt at the Redneck Olympix it will probably be with a rope in your hand. We had some pretty bad knee situations but all in all it went well. Once again, reunited to stay, weighing in at nearly 1,400 lbs, Team Caterpillar recaptured it’s rightful title.

The event resulting in epsom salt and Ben Gay treatment came off without incident this year. Donkey Dick stole the Men’s title and Rocker shocked us all and whooped on the girls.

For the drunkest competition of the night we had games played to 11 points take an hour. In the end Smoker and Iceman won in ladder golf.

The band went above and beyond. The crowd has had nothing but wonderful things to say about the boys.

The crowd danced the night away. I even got in on the action. This indeed was the best Redneck Olympix ever. I would imagine we’ll probably see you next year.
